Updated COVID Guidelines

 

IF YOU TEST POSITIVE FOR COVID-19

Anyone testing positive for COVID, regardless of vaccination status should:

  • Contact your child’s school office personnel or Kristina Gabrielse 920-668-8518, ext. 233
  • Stay home for 5 days after symptom onset or from test date if asymptomatic
  • Your positive test date or start of symptoms is “Day 0.” Day 1 begins the next day. 
  • If you have no symptoms or symptoms are resolving after 5 days, you may return to school
  • Continue to wear a mask around others for 5 additional days.
  • If you have a fever, stay home until your fever resolves without fever reducing medication.

IF YOU ARE EXPOSED TO A POSITIVE CASE OF COVID-19

What to do if you’re exposed to a positive case of COVID-19 depends on your vaccination status. 

VACCINATION STATUS

WHAT SHOULD I DO?

UNVACCINATED

  • Contact your child’s school office personnel or Kristina Gabrielse 920-668-8518, ext. 233
  • Stay home for 5 days after the last contact with a COVID positive person
  • After 5 days, continue to wear a mask around others for 5 additional days
  • Test on day 5, if possible
  • If you develop symptoms, get a test and stay home
  • If the test you take is positive, then see above
  • If the test you take is negative, continue to take preventative precautions, such as masking and social distancing

INCOMPLETE OR OUT OF DATE VACCINATION CYCLE

If you have done ONE of the following:

  • Completed the primary series of Pfizer or Moderna vaccine over 6 months ago and are not boosted 
  • Completed the primary series of J&J over 2 months ago and are not boosted
  • Started, but have not completed, a full vaccination series
  • Contact your child’s school office personnel or Kristina Gabrielse 920-668-8518, ext. 233
  • Stay home for 5 days after the last contact with a COVID positive person
  • After 5 days, continue to wear a mask around others for 5 additional days
  • Test on day 5, if possible
  • If you develop symptoms, get a test and stay home
  • If the test you take is positive, then see above
  • If the test you take is negative, continue to take preventative precautions, such as masking and social distancing

FULLY VACCINATED

If you have done ONE of the following:

  • Completed the primary series of Pfizer or Moderna vaccine within the last 6 months and boosted
  • Completed the primary series of J&J vaccine within the last 2 months and boosted
  • Wear a mask around others for 10 days after the last contact with a COVID positive person
  • Test on day 5, if possible
  • If you develop symptoms, get a test and stay home.
  • If the test you take is positive, then see above
  • If the test you take is negative, continue to take preventative precautions, such as masking and social distancing
