This year 7th Grade Art

Each section meets everyday for a quarter. They have a weekly drawing assignment. There are 8 total. Here is the weekly drawing assignments:

Week 1: Fruit/Vegetable
Week 2: 3 Object Still Life
Week 3: Facial Features
Week 4: 3 Hand Poses
Week 5: a collage of pictures and words
Week 6: Drawing collage
Week 7: A tree
Week 8: An Animal
These should be well thought out, drawn and shaded!

Pen and Ink
Watercolor
Weaving
Batik
Printing Unit
Photography
(assigned at the beginning of the quarter due the Tuesday of the last week of the quarter students are using a disposable film camera not a digital camera)
Sculpture
Scratch Art
Colored Pencil

As you can see there is a lot of drawing in grade 7. Drawing is very important! Students will be using their sketch books for note taking and working up ideas for art projects.
