  Welcome to the Cedar Grove–Belgium Music Department

Cedar Grove – Belgium offers a number of musical opportunities to our students. All students in grades K-6 receive music instruction in general music twice each week. Choir is offered for students in grades 5-12 and Band for students in grades 6-12. Students can elect to take choir, band, or both. Music Specialists Mrs. MacRae e-mail Mrs. MacRae       lmacrae@cgbsd.com  Mrs. Ruona Mrs. Ruona holds a Bachelors of Music Education from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh and a Masters of Music and Kodaly Certificate from Silver Lake College. Mrs. Ruona taught Elementary General Music in the Appleton Area School District for four years before coming to Cedar Grove – Belgium in 2007. Here at CGB, Mrs. Ruona teaches 5th Grade General Music, 5th Grade Choir, 6th Grade Choir, 7th Grade Choir, 8th Grade Choir, Concert Choir, and Rocket Choir. In her spare time, Mrs. Ruona enjoys camping, biking, scrapbooking, crafts, and spending time with her family. e-mail Mrs. Ruona         lruona@cgbsd.com Miss Rynish Miss Rynish teaches 6th Grade Band, 9/10 Band, 11/12 Band, and Jazz Band. e-mail Miss Rynish        arynish@cgbsd.com Mrs. Schmidt Mrs. Schmidt attended UW-Eau Claire and majored in music performance. After graduation, she traveled with Kids from Wisconsin and Sound Spectrum, performing across the U.S. and later in Scandinavia. She returned to UW-Milwaukee and became certified to teach General Music for ages K-12. She is a certified Carl Orff method instructor, receiving her Certificate from Mount Mary College in 2001.
