Brief Resume:

Cedar Grove has always been my home. I graduated from CG-B High School in 1989. After high school, I attended the University of WI-Green Bay. I completed a student teaching internship at Cedar Grove-Belgium Schools and was hired to teach first grade in 1994. I am proud to live and work in our community.

Introduction to class:

First grade is an exciting time for a young student!  Throughout the year, we will be learning to read, write, and solve simple math problems.  Learning to read is essential for success in school and life. In first grade, your child will begin formal reading instruction. We use the Open Court Reading Series that emphasizes phonics. Guided Reading, a leveled reading program, is another component to our reading instruction.  In math class, students will learn basic math skills through a variety of hands-on activities.  I look forward to working with your child during this exciting time of growth and development.
