Retirement 101 Workshop



The CG-B Recreation Department in partnership with ADRC of Ozaukee County (Aging and Disability Resource Center) are offering a retirement workshop on Monday, September 24th from 6 to 8pm in the Study Hall Room (Room ) at Cedar Grove-Belgium High School.

Are you thinking about retirement??  Join us at Retirement 101 to learn about:

  • Social Security Benefits for people ages 62 and older
  • How to sign up for Social Security and/or Medicare
  • Coordinating coverage between Medicare and employer/retiree plans
  • What Medicare coverage includes
  • Prescription Drug Plans
  • Medicare Advantage Plans
  • Medigap Supplement Plans
  • What Medicare is going to cost

The workshop will be facilitated by Laura Schimberg, Elder Benefit Specialist for ADRC of Ozaukee County.  Laura is a State Health Insurance Program counselor, who is trained by State and Federal agencies about Medicare and its’ related programs.  Laura will also be able to speak to insurance and any other public or private benefits.

This will be your comprehensive guide to Retirement and Insurance. Cost for the workshop is only $15 per person to cover the packet of materials each participant will receive.
